Oliver M. Morrison graduated from Pomona College in 2002 with a B.A. in Politics. While at Pomona, Mr. Morrison was a member of the non-national fraternity Kappa Delta and played baseball for the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, S.C.I.A.C. champions in 2002. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Morrison interned with the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, working closely with Administrative Law Judges from a variety of legal and technical backgrounds.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Mr. Morrison attended Southwestern Law School, graduating in May 2007. While at Southwestern, Mr. Morrison worked for Spivak & Harrison LLP, a Century City partnership specializing in employment law as well as securities litigation. A member of the California Bar since December 2007, Mr. Morrison has been with Sabaitis • O’Callaghan, LLP, since June of 2008. His practice areas include areas of general liability, employment and labor law, and construction defect litigation.

Diaz v. Carcamo California Court of Appeal Second Appellate District 2010 DJDAR 2852 On February 24, 2010, the California Court of Appeal issued an opinion in Diaz v. Carcamo, analyzing whether an employer whose worker caused automobile injury could be held responsible for the injuries under both vicarious liability and negligent hiring and retention theories.

VICARIOUS LIABILITY OF EMPLOYER UNDER THE GOING AND COMING RULE
Lobo v. Tamco California Court of Appeal Fourth Appellate District 2010 DJDAR 2827 On February 24, 2010, the California Court of Appeal issued an opinion in Lobo v. Tamco, analyzing an employer’s liability under the theory of respondiat superior where an employee was allegedly negligent in causing an automobile accident while driving home from work in his personal vehicle.
